Just another reason I'm glad this "boy" ended up playing for Ohio State.  He belongs there with the rest of em.   Hey Terrelle, can you say "ARENA FOOTBALL"??  Learn it because you'll be saying it alot.  Well and if that doesn't pay out, how about "would you like fries with that??"

'ghetto rat.'  that's harsh.  what's the big deal?  it's not illegal for kids to drive nissans.  it was wrong for tressel to lie. it's not wrong to drive a nice car.  if people are implying he got a speical deal, A)wait for the facts, B) i understand that the NCAA doesnt want an athletes to get deals that non athlete students get, but realistically to impossible to enforce b/c it is subjective.  who determines what car dealers are osu fans and what are not.  what if a random schelp in PA wants to give pryor a car at discount b/c he is fan?  how in the hell is osu supposed to stop that?  they are supposed to contact every car dealership in the midwest and say no skimming off the top for athletes, b/c it's against the NCAA rules??? serioulsy?  you will probably answer me, well the compliance department is supposed to teach the athletes the rules, and terrelle should not take a car at a discount.  but it's not that simple.  get in pryor's mind.  that rule probably isnt so clear to him.   if he goes to a dealer and they offer a 35K car at 30K he is not going to conduct an interview on the dealer, and say are you connected with osu in any way?  are you an alumnus?   do you know coach?  are you offering me this discount b/c i play at osu???  did osu put you up to this??  no! LOL.   he is gonna take the damn car like any sensible,  self interested person would.  see in THEORY i see what the NCAA is getting at - they dont want a bribe system, or a bidder system.  fine, you high ideals are nice, but theory has to meet the pavement; reality.   rules and laws have to be reasonable and enforcible.   how can one possibly enforce the giving of gifts?  i may be an idiot, but it seems next to impossible.  if people want to give discounts on cars to certain people, it may distasteful, it may not be "cool" but what I DONT see is how one could craft a realistic, enforcible rule against it.  why do excellent students get better schollies than merely good students.  isnt that in a sense "bribing' a kid to come to your school?  things are not equal in life people.  life isn't fair.  is the NCAA going to kick students out of school who got money towards a vacation for their kid who got As, since not all kids get gifts for good grades.  what about christmas presents??   should all college students get the same number of christmas presents.   how does on define who is "connected" with a university.  which dealers can give discounts and which cant?  what if the dealer grad from mich and just thinks pryor is a coold guy.  very unlikely i know.  dealers would almost never give a discount on car, but still, u see my point.  it gets messy and subjective. 

As an Ohio State alumnus and fan, I get angrier by the day.  Tressel should have been fired in December when this all came to light.  (I've been saying that on these boards since then).  Both Gene Smith, the athletics director, and E. Gordon Gee, the university president should be fired.  I want to support my school--but I can't.  These three people are beyond redemption.  Get rid of the two remaining cheats.  OSU needs to make a genuine effort to restore credibility--a tall order to be sure.  That said, throwing Tressel to the wolves does not change the fact that he had two enablers who not only overlooked/ignored his lies and cover-up, in the case of the university PRESIDENT, one made fun of the coach's lies.  For Ohio State to have any chance at moving forward in a positive way, the school needs to cut all ties to the administration that has allowed these circumstances to fester.  And, fester they do.  Like an open sore.  To an honest fan.  The final (although there are sure to be more) indignity was the video available on espn.com showing Terelle Pryor driving away from Tressel's announcement in a $30,000 car AND failing to come to a complete stop at a red light before he made a right turn.  I want my school back.

Z's have been around since 2003, there are hundreds of used ones at about 13k and up. If the reporter knew anything, he would also know that they didnt even make a 350z in 2010, and in 2009 they didnt make coupes, just roadsters.



Not saying that Pryor is innocent at all, but this poster CLEARLY didnt do enough research. 

Is there a more corrupt institution in the world than a University in Ohio?????   Maybe the US government?  That's about it.

 

They couldn't beat Ohio U without cheating.

Looking back now, I am very glad he chose the Ohio school.

When I was a little kid growing up in Columbus back in the day, I used to see Cornelius Greene driving around campus in a pimped-out, brand-new Pontiac Grand Prix with "FLAM 7" license plates. Now THAT was showing some stones. This whole thing is much ado about very little. There isn't a major college program anywhere that doesn't have its athletes getting something to make their lives a little nicer, from Greene's Prix to hatden Fry's boys getting a coed to do their laundry to Terrelle's Z. It's been that way since the dawn of school sports, and will continue to be that way whether the NCAA hypocrites whack Pryor or not. And that is as it should be.
