There's nothing we can say to adequately prepare you for this image, posted to Ohio State's O-H-I-O picture section, other than give the family's caption for it:

"Now Dad is the permanent 'I'"

Long time fan who was always the "I-O", is forever the permanent "I". Roy Miracle was shown in an OSU turtle neck that he loved and holding the position that he loved!

Yes, this is just a bit disturbing, and no, we're not really in the business of posting pictures from open-casket funerals. That said, this is a loving family celebrating the life of the departed man the best way they knew how. That being the case, I'm guessing Roy wouldn't have wanted it any other way. So no, there won't be an ounce of judgment from us here, no condemnations, no revulsion. This isn't everyone's type of mourning, but it's yours, Miracle family, so own it proudly.

As for the rest of college football's fan bases... your move.

Oh your a real quick witted one arent you? Must be a real gem of a human being to make rude comments about the family of the deceased man in this story. I do feel shorted a little as I dont have you as a friend. Your friends and family are so lucky to have you.

This is not disgusting or disrespectful! This is what Roy wanted. It was his wish and his family respected him by fullfilling his last wish. So if this upsets you in anyway...who cares? If you think it disgusting then dont do it at YOUR funeral.

Cheating?  Tats and 2,000 dollars.  Go to an Oregon blog or Unc blog already.  You think espn didn't beat this story into the dirt because they didn't get the Big10 tv contract?  You think they aren't pissed because the Big10 went out and took Nebraska?  Why didnt Cam and Oregon, etc, get the "love"  OSU did on all the lead stories.  Because the Big10 went out and started their own network.  F espn.  Keep covering up your sec and pac12 bs....5 billion goes a long way.  Yeah boy...5 BILLION.  So keep on leading with THE Ohio State University when Vrabel goes in on recruiting trips and shows them 3 rings and brings it.  You haters are a big joke.  Bow to your espn god.  Who's your team, hater?

why is this such a big deal? He's dead. He's got worms and decay to look forward to. Why not take life a little less seriously.

This is disgusting, disrespectful, and down-right shamful!  I am all about being a Buckeye Fan, but have a little respect for your husband/dad.  I am shocked at the minister in the picture - why didnt he discourage this?

One dead Buckeye fan is still of greater value than live ones from Michigan.
