The Austin American-Statesman was able to get its hands on the arrest warrant for Texas safety Christian Scott, and it turns out that his arrest stems from his treatment of the woman who was repossessing his car. Scott was arrested for assault causing bodily harm on Monday afternoon in Austin, and suspended indefinitely by the team.

Jeanne Somers Doyle was in the process of repossessing Scott's car when she was blocked by another car while at Scott's apartment complex. Scott then got out of the car that was blocking Doyle, approached her in the car while screaming profanities at her. According to the police report, Doyle recognized Scott because she had repossessed his car last year. As Scott reached the car, he pulled Doyle from it and then threw her to the ground.

Scott then got into the car and fled the scene before being arrested at a nearby gas station.

Obviously if this is true, Scott's future as a Longhorn doesn't look good. I can understand the frustration of seeing your car getting taken away, and how you would want to stop the person doing it, but to attack that person -- particularly when it's a woman -- because you didn't make your car payments isn't the right way to go about things.

Doyle was just doing her job because Scott didn't.

Any man who physically hurts a woman or child is a COWARD!! Simply put!! It doesn't matter if your from Texas or" Kin-tucky"!! And yes, i spelled like that for a reason!

While I agree with you regarding how a man should never physically harm a woman or child, WTF does Kentucky have to do with this story?  Do me a favor, "Kin-Dog", keep your arrogant, stereotypical bigotry to yourself.

But this woman should know the dangers her job possesses! Who knows.....if she repossessed his car before as it states...what kind of confrontation did they have then??? Maybe something that was said then, boiled over to this situation!!! Still not a reason to put your hands on a woman!

Before we throw this young man in the slammer based on Judge Fornelli's blog post, let's try to remember that the police report was filed by a repo woman, and contains only her side of the story.  Not saying he is guilty or not guilty, but slow down before you judge this young man.

What school did you go to?  Were there a lot of "exspenses"?  Did it cost more than a couple "hundread" dollars?

So you can assault a woman and the NCAA stays out of it, but if you sell a jersey they investigate you?  How about equal emphasis on criminal violations and NCAA rules.  Atleast we know a booster wasn't paying for his car, as it got repossesed.

I can agree with most of what you are saying. However to throw this young man away over grabbing a women and pulling her out of his car seems a bit ridiculous. I could care less if it was a man or women he pulled out but seeing how it was a women people seem to be jumping all over this guy.  Nothing against women doing dangerous jobs as a living but if your gonna demand to be treated equaly in the work field then what happens in the field or work place should be treated with the same kind of attitude. I say let the law take care of him and our legal system do its job. Sounds to me like he needs direction with some discipline. Dont automattically give up on this young man.

His private life has nothing to due with is scholarship. He earned that scholarship and deserves to keep it as long as he abides by the rules of keeping it.
Your right that there are probley more deserving students out there that would appreciate that scholarship more than Scott. This doesnt mean he deserves to loose what he earned unless of course it was a breech in his contract for keeping it.
