The NCAA has reportedly expanded their Ohio State investigation to include a trip Terrelle Pryor took to the Miami area in March, according to a report in the Columbus Dispatch.

The findings that left left Pryor suspended for five games and lost head coach Jim Tressel his job were in connection with improper benefits regarding a tattoo parlor owner and the sale of memorabilia. When the NCAA's investigation began to focus more on Pryor directly, the star quarterback abruptly left school in June and declared his intentions to participate in the NFL's supplemental draft.

The Dispatch cites two sources who claim that the NCAA was checking into Pryor's trip to South Beach over spring break in March, a trip that may have been arranged by Jeannette, Pa. businessman Ted Sarniak.

Sarniak, if you recall, was one of the people that Tressel turned to after receiving an email tip regarding possible wrongdoing in his football program. The former Buckeyes coach defended himself saying he was looking out for Pryor's safety, and Sarniak has been a mentor to Pryor since the quarterback was in high school. But Sarniak's mentor status was addressed already by Ohio State's compliance director in 2008 when Pryor began his freshman year. The school determined that the businessman may continue his relationship with Pryor, but "the relationship must change."

The NFL was supposed to hold the supplemental draft on Wednesday, but they have decided to postpone to a later date. Pryor is one of six players hoping to get picked up in the unique player acquisition event that allows a team to trade a future pick for the opportunity to draft a player who has become ineligible for collegiate play since the January deadline.

there is NO latest scandal involving terrell pryor. lets gets this clear. it would be the biggest waste of time in the history of sports. pryor - already under current suspension and only weeks from deciding to leave ohio state for good, and possibly having already been deemed ineligible by OSU before it became public - breaks rules? Technically and literally Terrelle Pryor wasnt on the clock after he walked off the sugar bowl field. So how is anything regarding Terrell Pryor considered additional violations by TP post sugar bowl? And to what point? Suspend him permanently? already done. Vacate 2011 wins? already done. he could be breaking a rule right now. who gives a damn. I dont care if he broke 100,000,000 rules everyday since jan 9th. none of it matters or would reflect on Ohio State. Why would the ncaa waste 2 nanosecons on this? IT would be the DUMBEST use of their time EVER. and thats saying a lot.

Report: NCAA investigating Pryor's trip to Miami

Yes, there is no question, given what has been reported that Miami has become the sun in the NCAA solar system and Ohio State merely an asteroid. I am not a fan of either school but if you were making a bad movie about college football you could not possibly sell a script like what has apparently occurred at Miami. No one would believe it. What is missing is the cocaine stories. What is a good Miami thriller to do without lots and lots of cocaine (spoof).

The death penalty is about to make a comeback. Miami is on its way to becoming a community college and one without football and basketball. The ACC just got screwed in their scheduling and planning. Will it happen before the seasons start this year? Highly doubtful but since the NCAA has a five month head start, just maybe they beat the clock. If you are Miami (poor soul) who can you play? My guess is until the NCAA stops you, play them all. You know what is coming so these games will not count anyway and if you can keep the fan base coming to the games for these last days, do it.

There are many violations of improper benefits from established family friends in recent years. Most of those are resolved with a suspension for the player and a requirement to repay the benefits. Since Ohio State and Pryor are involved the NCAA may be foaming at the mouth to make examples. Now Pryor is being investigated also by the NFL. Should the Commissioner find false claims in Pryor's submissions to him that would probably end any supplemental draft noise. But legally the league seems to be covering all its bases and postponing the supplemental draft until they do. That makes sense.

The OSU players didn't even get free tattooes.  They paid for them with their own memorabilia.  No comparison with the U.  This is much bigger.

Report: NCAA investigating Pryor's trip to Miami

Man the NCAA is just getting better by the day I know they wanted to get Ohio State and they did most of which surrounds T. Pryor. Yes other folks got tattoos and sold stuff but they did not have a sugar daddy like Pryor did. This last incident proves that Ted Sarniak and Jim Tressel were a bit more then friends. This must be why the National Football League and Rodger Goodell wants to talk with Pryor.

Now we come to the University of Miami and player being paid that's bad enough. Now the bountys that were placed on other players come on this is a darn game you should play hard and all out but to hurt other players is just wrong. How much money was paid to the Miami players. Where is the so called compliance officer, Coaches, Athletic Director, any body with common sense. The president of the Miami school all should be fired. Now where do the abortions come into play. College football just gets better by the day.
