Tennessee's loss to rival Florida on Saturday is painful enough for the Vols on its own, but it hurt even more with some bad news on Sunday afternoon.

After suffering a knee injury during Saturday's game, Tennessee confirmed on Sunday that wide receiver Justin Hunter will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Hunter is expected to recover in time to return to the team for spring practice next year.

Which isn't much solace to the Tennessee offense now. Hunter had 16 catches for 302 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Vols two victories so far this season. He had 1 reception for 12 yards before tearing his ACL on Saturday.

If there's any silver lining to this cloud for Tennessee, it's that Tyler Bray still has a nice target in Da'Rick Rogers, who has 20 catches for 262 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season.

Tuff loss for the Vols.Justin was well on his way for a great season. As a vols fan it is hard to see a player with his talent be lost for the season. We will need the other WRs to step up.Look for Arnett and Vincent Dallas who both are freshman to see what they can do.The thing that we need to work on the most is a running game. Were not going to win many games if all we have is just a passing game.Good Luck to Justin

Very tough break for JH.  Poised to have a breakout year.  Bray's top target. Tough loss for the Vols.

Medical Redshirt?  It probably wouldnt matter he has the skills to leave early but it would be a nice offer. Our offensive line needs to get better quick or this season will spiral down as they say. Shouldnt be a terrible drop off in production with arnett, milto, rogers, rivera out there. Get Well Justin, Go Big Orange!

Hunter seems like a nice kid.  We wish him well and hope he gets better quickly.  Vols showed me passion and a "never give up attitude".  I really liked seeing how they responded to getting their butts handed to them the first 20 minutes of the game.  They certainly do not have the talent that I have seen in years past, but that will come around.  Not much left of the Kiffen kids to spoil this bunch (at least I hope not).  I look forward to watching this group grow up together.

Get well soon Justin.  I ignored most sports media for the day just to avoid getting caught up in disgust with the team.  However, it seems from several message boards I have read that UT is now heading down a black hole toward the likes of kentucky.  Or at least that is what the fans over at volnation seem to think.  Can't wait for the vols to get back out there and get some reps to Arnett.  GO VOLS!!!
