The SEC has gone through a few different iterations of its principal logo over the years (before settling on the current version, that is), but one constant has been the conference's pinwheel-style logo with pennants of all 10 and eventually 12 members surrounding the logo at center.

But after Sunday's announcement that Texas A&M has officially become the SEC's 13th team, that logo was out-of-date. But judging by a photo tweeted by SEC Assistant Media Relations Director Sean Cartell, it appears out the league has wasted no time repairing that issue:

That's right: nestled between Vanderbilt and Tennessee in alphabetical, there's your Texas A&M pennant. The logo disks are apparently being delivered to A&M ahead of the Aggies' introductory press conference, with Cartell present on the ground in College Station.

We're not going very far out on a limb with this, but based on the quickness with which those disks were prepared, we're guessing the SEC knew A&M was coming aboard before yesterday's announcement. Call it a hunch.

3548, you sound like a bitter FSU fan whose team already dropped two this season and hasn't been significant on a national scale in over a decade.

Oh wait, I take that back - having 12 wins vacated a few years back was pretty significant.

P.S.: UF's record against SEC west opponents since 2006?  8-7.  Not too bad considering they have a pair of NC's in that span.

Really! Your knock on the SEC is an attack on UF and its recent success.  Do you watch much college football?

It so funny when losers of the SEC have to bring "Well we will just keep winning NC's because we are the best conference" BS, I have seen they mostly come from bitter UF fans when they have to continue to make up for excuses as to why they keep getting their clocks cleaned by SEC West opponenets so they can stay all warm and fuzzy when they continually FAIL... Plus its hilarious to watch them Rooting for Alabama, Auburn and LSU after they get destroyed in the Outback or whatever second tier bowl they play in...too funny

Well, the logo is JUST a logo.....we'll just keep winning NC's and dominating the rest of College Sports for now....in the meantime all the other conferences can create those fancy, schmancy logos for their "middle-of-the-road" performance...who cares what the logo looks like....it's all about the results, now isn't it?

For a league that has dominated the college football landscape for at least the last decade, the spinwheel logo is just ... awful.  The Miami Marlins could do better.  Well, maybe not.  Bad all around.
