PIC: Tulsa's shiny helmets are hard to read

Tulsa and Rice are underway as part of a busy evening in Conference USA action (you can keep up with the action HERE) and the Golden Hurricanes have made quite a statement with their headgear.

Are the shiny helmets are some odd combination of an optical allusion and subliminal messaging? Or do you think their stylist is encouraging the team to embrace subtlety? Leave your opinions on these bold skull protectors in the comments below or hit us up on Twitter (@EyeOnCFB).

that is one hideous helmet.

Compared to that awful black helmet the Terps have worn this year, the "flag" helmet they wore vs Miami was much better. I give the Terps red/yellow/black uniforms a thumbs down also. Their uniforms don't say Maryland to me...they just say ugly and lazy.
Whats funny is these uniforms aren't designed by freshmen design students, they are the work of paid professionals.

In twenty years, we'll be laughing at these uniforms even more than today.
; I know my Pokes have lead the way in ugly this year and may have even rivaled bad uniform choices by Oregon in years past.    On a single play basis though, Maryland against Miami wins hands down though.

Apparently there is a unknown bet between the designers of these hideous creations. Whose design will give the vieweres a stroke first

Chip, it's Golden Hurricane, not Golden Hurricanes. There is no 'S'....and those uniforms are horrible.

I'll take any helmets over the Notre Dame helmets in the USC game. Those things looked like someone laid down some newspaper in their garage and spray painted them. The glare off of them was blinding and they made me feel sick.

Most of the NCAA football teams have rediculous new uniforms this year. I think they let the new design students get some practice on uniform design...in short they need more practice....what a waste of money.
