OKLAHOMA STATE WON. They may have been playing the Game of the Century down in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night, but the game being played in Stillwater wasn't half bad. Both Oklahoma State and Kansas State took turns taking the lead in the first half, and then just went back and forth in the second half until Oklahoma State's goalline stand in the final seconds sealed the deal. These two teams combined for 1,081 yards of total offense, 97 points and 11 touchdowns on the evening.

The quarterbacks were the story, though one did it with his arm and the other showcased his legs. Brandon Weeden threw for 501 yards and 4 touchdowns on the night, with Justin Blackmon pulling in 13 passes for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns. For Kansas State it was Collin Klein answering Weeden at every turn, rushing for 144 yards and 3 touchdowns while passing for 231 yards and a touchdown.

WHY OKLAHOMA STATE WON. The clock ran out. Had Kansas State another chance on fourth down in the final seconds, this game may have been going to overtime. I mean, this game was so back and forth that you can't really say that the Cowboys did anything but outscore the Wildcats, and that's as basic as it gets.

WHEN OKLAHOMA STATE WON. When Collin Klein's pass on third and goal with a second remaining on the clock fell to the back of the end zone harmlessly.

WHAT OKLAHOMA STATE WON. What didn't it win? It may have had the scare of a lifetime on Saturday night, but Oklahoma State is still undefeated and following LSU's 9-6 win over Alabama, guess who is going to be moving up to the #2 spot in the BCS standings on Sunday: Oklahoma State.

WHAT KANSAS STATE LOST. I don't think Kansas State lost as much as it gained in this contest. Let's be honest, after getting destroyed by Oklahoma in the second half last week, the natural reaction was to write off Kansas State's 7-0 start to the season as a fluke. A team taking advantage of its schedule. Well, after nearly knocking off Oklahoma State in Stillwater, I don't think we can consider this team a fluke anymore. It's a good team with an extremely good quarterback that's going to compete for a Big 12 title in the next few years.

THAT WAS CRAZY. Not that this game was ever a defensive struggle, but both teams combined for 26 points in the final 5:16 of the fourth quarter.

Totally agree with you... Stoops needs to set the starters when the game is out of reach.  BUT the score was 27-10, just a few minutes into the 3rd Qtr when Broyles got hurt.  That was just a freak deal that I hate to see happen to any kid.

Yea "Happy Feet" Landry Jones is a Fair FBS QB.  I was hoping he'd be having a better season so he would be lured into the NFL... I know, that sounds bad but I'm ready for him to move on.  Sadly, he'll probably stay for his Sr year.  Yes it's experience, but I'm ready for a change.  It would be nice to have a QB that could possibly run... lol

My wish this year was for OU and OSU to be undefeated going into Bedlam... OH well... it'll still be an exciting game!  .... at least I hope so.

Agree about Blackmon.  The guy is a phenom, but needs to watch the silly mistakes.  Weeden needs to study his couple of rare misreads yesterday, but I think he will and be back even stronger.

OUT...  Below average KSU?  I believe you are showing your IQ of 33 with a statement like that.  OU had their arses handed to them in the first half at the Little Apple.  And against A&M, Landry shows that he is not and never will be ready for prime time.  Those over and under throws by LJ are going to be his downfall against State.  As for a NCG only the Cowboys have a chance, cuz the Sooners lost to a very bad TTU team at home, and they will never jump Bama, probably Boise, and if Stanford loses, those two will get jumped.  But it will be LSU and Bama again  if State loses to OU on Dec 3.  With Wort, Whaley, and Broyles out, no chance. Finch will be injured before the Dec 3 game.  Just to small to be an every down back...
However, if Blackmon doesn't stop his showboating, State could lose before OU.  Ridiculous him fumbling as he did.  Early in the season he did another showboat and threw the ball thru the endzone just before he crossed the goal.  The guy needs to prepare himself mentally if he wants to be a first rounder.  I love the way he plays the game except for that.  Keep it in check Big Guy...

The thing that really impresses me is that the Cowboys I grew up watching would have panicked and folded after a couple of mistakes like that.  This team has matured enough to overcome a handful of mistakes.  Face it, sooner or later, mistakes happen, and how you respond to them shows your real inner self.  Yes, I agree, the Cowboys made some serious blunders against a keen, sharp Bill Snyder coached team, and they still won the game.  They played against a then ranked number 8 Aggie team, made several blunders and won the game.  They played against the Longhorns, who have always seemed to have their number, didn't play their best and still won the game.  They played well against helpless Kansas and had pulled all their starters out five minutes before halftime (A lesson Stoops needs to learn.)  I think they've not only got the talent, but also the heart and character to really give the rest of their schedule and hopefully the title game opponents a real run for their money.

And don't forget Blackmon fumbling into the endzone. Thats one of the worst plays in football. Fumblng a punt is another. Interception for a touchdown is up there too.

That was a scare for OSU, but the fact of the matter is it shouldn't have been that close.  Throw out Weeden's two RARE interceptions and Blackmon muffing a punt that all led to scores and last night was another losided win for OSU.

Hurting... nah, I'm pretty sure I said OU isn't deserving of squat..especially losing to an unranked team at home.  As a fan sure I'd like to see them win out and go to a BCS Bowl... but I doubt very seriously if they get a shot at the title....but there's a lot of football left.  We'll know more after 03 Dec.

Sorry... I know when to take off the "Crimson" glasses... OU could very well finish 9-3.. I hope not, but losing 2 key players over the last two weeks doesn't help their chances.

I think OUtrad is still hurting over the tech loss.   Kansas state "below average".    LOL.    They were 14 in the BCS.     And, what was Tech ranked when they gave OU a large helping of reality?     Oh, I forgot, OU just had a bad game.    Well that explains it all.
OU fans think they deserve to be given wins, and when they dont get them they have to tread on OSU.    Just makes them feel better I guess

You guys crack me up.   When OSU loses or has a bad game they just are not good.   Right?    But when OU loses to a very bad and unranked Texas Tech team, they just had a "bad" game.   The OU players sometimes think if they just put on that helmet that a win will be given to them.   It wasnt a bad game, just a dose of reality.   Sorry.
