Texas and UCLA completed a home-and-home series earlier this season, and in both this year's game and last year's, the road team won each contest. So what better way to decide the series between schools than at a neutral location?

It was announced on Thursday that the two schools would meet again in 2014 in Cowboys Stadium.

The game is tentatively scheduled to be held on September 13th, 2014 and be nationally televised. However, UCLA currently has a game against Virginia scheduled for that date, so both schools will have to figure out a way to reschedule that game.

Texas and UCLA to play in Cowboys Stadium

...and UT playing USC for the NC after the 2005 season in the Rose Bowl was different, right?

Texas and UCLA to play in Cowboys Stadium

Would that be anything like UT playing USC for the NC in the RoseBowl?  Just curious.

Texas and UCLA to play in Cowboys Stadium

I find this rather odd.  Texas now has too many games scheduled in 2014.  They are scheduled to play a round robin in their conference, which means 9 conference games.  They are also scheduled to play North Texas, BYU and Arkansas.  Adding UCLA gives them 13 games, one over the limit.  Does Texas now drop Arkansas from their schedule?  I really doubt that Texas will drop a home game (BYU or North Texas) from their schedule and the game against Arkansas is scheduled to be played in Arkansas.

As far as a Thanksgiving Day game, my guess is that Texas Tech will become the new dance partner for Texas, though I personally would much rather see TCU in that roll.  After all, TCU is the team that replaced A&M.

Texas and WVU for a Thanksgiving day game.

Hey Texas and Big 12 fans i was wondering what you would think of this.

The Big 12 will have to replace the opponent for Texas in the Thanksgiving Game. I think it would be a smart move for the Big 12 if they would have WVU playing Texas in the game. At least for next year. I think that would be a great game for the Thanksgiving Holiday. And it would get those TV's tune in on the East Coast. Which is one of the topics that Neinas has talk about, getting more East Coast exposure. Also if it would be a home game for WVU, they may want to move the game to Fed EX Field, i think this game would be a huge sellout. WVU has already schedule a couple of games there in the next couple of years. Also the payout for both teams playing at Fed Ex could be huge.

I'm not saying to keep the game with WVU every year. If the Texas thanksgiving game goes on i think probably Texas Tech would be the team to play them in the game.

Texas and UCLA to play in Cowboys Stadium

Why would Texas want to reward the a$m crybabies with a game, they deserve nothing! Its easy for them to say we'll play Texas any where, anytime, now that they left the conference. Funny thing is that they could have played them every year if they would have stayed in the Big 12, BUT NO, they had to cry foul and go whining to the SEC, until the SEC said well come on over here, we won't treat you bad, we'll just kick your ass every year AND A$M fell for it!!!HA!HA! So all you out of conference Texas bashers, talk all your trash and call your AD up and have them put Texas on your schedule so we can come to your home field and kick your ass., ask USC how that felt.
