In one of the biggest signs yet that the scandal involving former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky is still intensifying,'s Sara Ganim reported on Tuesday that two new cases of alleged child abuse by Sandusky are being investigated. Also, since the investigation on these two new cases is being done by Child and Youth Services in Pennsylvania, that means the two alleged victims are still under 18 today.

This is believed to be the first time Child and Youth Services has become involved in this investigation, as the other five alleged victims coming forward to assist the investigation are now currently adults (though all were children at the time of the alleged incidents). Under Pennsylvania state law, allegations of abuse made by adults are handled solely by the police; it's only when a minor makes an allegation that Child and Youth Services is used.

There is no word on when the alleged incidents in these newly opened cases occurred, just that the cases were opened within the past 60 days. Earlier, it was reported that a dozen new potential victims had come forward to Pennsylvania state prosecutors, though it is unclear whether these two new cases are the result of children coming forward before or after the 40 sexual assault charges were formally brought against Sandusky. Further, it should be noted that the cases have not resulted in any new charges being pressed, though that may certainly change once the investigations have concluded.

In an interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday morning, Sandusky attorney Joe Amendola said he believed more charges could be brought against his client, and he worries that the additional charges may result in Sandusky being sent back to jail. Amendola did not specify what led him to believe that more charges would be coming.

Sandusky's preliminary hearing on the charges is set for December 13 in Centre County court.

Ndog_13 said "What people see and what people hear are two different things.  hear say does not hold up in court.  If Paterno saw the incident then he would have a responsibility to tell police.  big difference...."

So, he only had to report it to police if he saw the incident? That is ridiculous. You must be a PSU fan. Paterno didn't report it because he didn't care about the kid. Let's face it, if Mcqueary told Paterno "Joe, I saw Sandusky anally raping your grandson in the shower." Do you really think Paterno would have said to himself, "I just have to report this to the AD. I am not going to the police because I didn't actually see it." "It is not my responsibility." That would never happen. If it were JoePA's kid, he would have freaked out and gone straight to the cops.

It is time that we start treating other people as our own and looking out for kids, even if they aren't ours. This era with no accountability and no responsibility has gotten completely out of control. Those who apologize and make excuses for Paterno turning a blind eye when his friend anally rapes children because "it isn't his responsibility" are pathetic.

Ndog. Imagine if a person came to me to report that your son or daughter was anally raped. How would you feel if I never reported it and I told you "Sorry Ndog, it isn't my responsibility." I didn't actually see it. Unbelievable.

It's almost as if the one time Mighty Emporer who has walked around for 30 plus years without his clothes on is now having to face the throngs of people who witnessed his gross negligence and are coming out to report what the king has done.  The trickle will turn into a waterfall of victims as more come forward.  Still wanna worship Jo Papa????????  Complicit idiot like the rest of the once insulated idiots.  The worm is turning and the whirlwind is about to be reaped over there in Sanctity-ville!

Uh! People did not get aquitted in the Spanish or any other inquisition.  Jesus couldn't have saved them.  They plead guilty under the assistance of friendly persuasion or were dispatched with blessings or curses.   Mr. Sandusky being at least wierd/strange/somewhat unusual (a la Michael Jackson), is toast.  Nancy Grace and the hysteria will see to it.  His attorney will be but a side show.  At least hear say and mothers vitriol are not admissable in court.  All pedophiles watch and get thee some serious treatment.  By the way, none of this has anything to do with the Football Team, and since McQuarry told the Municipal Police, nothing to do with Paterno.  Paterno had no reponsibility to investigate or follow-up.  That would be viewed as interference.  As to the hysteria, some blogs referred to the Penn State  Football Team as child rapists.  Pure idiocy.

Sandusky may be innocent and if he is, the chances are still favorable that his attorney will get him convicted.  Is Joe Amendola a PSU grad?  If so, he would have been better served to have majored in the treatment of diseased cattle; a specialty the school is best known for.  Allowing Sandusky to appear on TV, via telephone, was really stupid and his client outpaced him by being even more dense in his responses to the questions.  Now we are to believe that all Jerry was doing was trying to push the kids into becoming real men...however, some resented this and came up with the idea of accusing the nitwit of being a child molester, as this would surely get him to stop "pushing" them. This Amendola is no F. Lee Baily and, left to his own devices, would not be able to get Sister Teresa acquitted in a Spanish inquisition.

by XSGame: "EYEWITNESSES SAW SANDUSKY MOLESTING CHILDREN. ... SAW HIM! ... THE SCHOOL, THE STATE, THE CAMPUS POLICE have all investigated him in the past, and THEY FOUND EVIDENCE AND WITNESSES that left NO DOUBTS THAT HE WAS GUILTY of commiting these same atrocities... but yet he is NOT IN JAIL and has NEVER BEEN TO JAIL. ... Now he's being defended by a guy who impregnated a young girl when she was a sophomore in high school and he was 49 years old. ... Neither of these losers has a single "STRIKE" against them. ... And the jails are overflowing with my black brothers, who have never spread a childs butt cheeks apart and stuck their penis in them. ... This is why they hate white people."

Your 'brothers' (a racist term) are in jail because they committed crimes all by themselves.  Their situation has nothing to do with the Penn State atrocity or, probably, racism (except maybe their own).

How Sandusky is not is jail is beyond nobody beat that POS to a pulp is beyond me too.  This situation isn't racism is cronyism.

And you, sir, evidenced by trying to make a parallel, are a racist.   Remember...all whites aren't racist, and all racists aren't white.

The issue is clearly not about race. In my experience (I am a criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor), how people get treated in the system depends more on money than race. The $100,000 bond amount is laughable given the severity and number of crimes this scumbag is alleged to have committed. I have a client who broke into a few homes and stole playstations, a play pen, and cameras and dvd's and his bond is MUCH higher than Sandusky's. One's Bond should be high enough to ensure 1) that the defendant is not a flight risk, and 2) that the defendant is not an ongoing danger to public. This scumbag has the resources to flee the country with ease if he wanted to and he is absolutely a danger to the public. This guy is a habitual serial child rapist and he is only out on $100,000 bond? What a sad joke. People with wealth get treated differently in the system. That is the way it goes. Rich  or famous whites, or rich or famous blacks get preferential treatment and it is the fault of weak judges. Lindsay Lohan is a rich crack-head. Just look at how favorable Lindsay Lohan's treatment is in the system. If she were a poor crack-head, they would have given her years in prison by now for violating felony probation over-and-over again. That is the unfortunate reality of our system.

I keep seeing people defend Paterno in these threads. I have to assume that those who are defending Paterno have not read the Grand Jury Report. Read the report. It will show that McQueery heard "a slapping noise" that sounded like sex. He went to see who was having sex in the shower. It was Sandusky anally raping an unknown boy around 10 years old. McQueery reported what he saw to Joe Paterno who reported it to the Athletic Director, and never to police. Joe Paterno called it "horsing around." Joe Paterno minimized the situtuation and did everything he could to ignore what happened. How could Paterno (who you guys keep defending) continue to see Sandusky all over campus, in the locker rooms, and in the weight room after hearing that report? How can you defend that? Read the Grand Jury Report. It will make you sick and it will make you understand why all these PSU clowns including JoePa are under such close scrutiny and criticizm.

ya , ever herd of Michael Jackson , Lawrence Taylor , Barry Bonds ?   Give me a friggin break ...
This idiot is proof that racism is more alive than ever .

The true racists in this world are the ones like the poster, who see every situation in light of their own race. I hear them on call-in sports shows and see them on here, and it never even occurs to them that indeed THEY are the racist. There is not one aspect of the Sandusky case that involves racism.  It involves small-town politics and buddy-ism that you find in most small towns, not just State College.  That Sandusky isnt in jail is a travesty, that he was allowed continured access to PSU facilities was ridiculous.  Many are going to pay for their turning a deaf ear with their jobs, their money and their reputation.  And yes JoePa is to blame for the lack of proper guidelines and standards as he ruled the town, the athletic department and set the tone for what was expected and allowed. What any of that has to do with racism is however, ridiculous.
