Muds, sorry to hear of the pending transformation of the furry son to the status of loving memories. I know a lot of folks will disagree with me but my experience indicates an immediate replacement is in order. Whether that takes the form of a puppy or a rescue is a choice best made by you after examining your time available and tolerance for training an infant. Good wishes on you in either case.

Morning class and to all the B and G fine people. Haven't showed my ugly face for awhile because of work and a bad back. Once I get out of work the most comfortable place is lying on the couch .

Dog is truly man's best friend.

Very true Muds'. Dogs never get mad at their owner and don't ask for much except the unconditional love which they give back so freely. That's why the attachment between the owners becomes so dear and near that when they do depart , it's just like losing a dear friend.

Glad to see such a great group in here yesterday.  Wish I could have made it in.  Paying for my procrastination of the past few years by stripping and re-staining my deck.  I know I'm moving, but since the future owners of the old hacienda are my daughter and family...well, you know, the Senora spoke, and I didn't have a choice but to listen. 

Day two underway here in a minute, but wanted to check in and say hey...HEY!! 


Class and Geo...great to hear the college football "experts" think so highly of the blue and yellow that they've installed them as the league favorites for this season.  Will truly make The Game in November that much sweeter when the Buckeyes remind them the "experts" are not really that knowledgeable.

There  is a saying that with every dog you have during your life, you give them a piece of your heart and, in return, the dog gives you a piece of theirs. That is why, by the end of our days, when our hearts are mostly dog, and we are better people.

And, while no dog can "replace' another, I agree with Class simply b/c I cannot imagine myself without a dog. No, really...as the owner of 8 dogs, I REALLY cannot imagine that.....
