The May thing is a Buckeye issue.  He's snubbed them for years as being relevant on any level.  In fact, he's really just blasted the whole conference as being irrelevant on almost every opportunity. 
Think it has to do with no one in the B1G, at that time, recruited him seriously.  So, he ended up at Pitt.

At this point buddy, anyone is welcome to try.  Personally, I don't think he'd make a very good NFL coach.  Kinda like Saban.  Great success at the collegiate level, but not so much in the NFL.
