Ok for the sake of this argument, let's say we don't get hot and don't catch the clips in the end. I think that that the 5 seed is very reachable. If no one catches the top 4, my guess is it finishes SA,OKC,MEM,LAC(I think they come back down to earth). Say we get the 5 seed(I know,I know). The way I see it, IF we got through the Finals, we'd be at a true dis-advantage homecourt wise 2 times, and that's the 2nd round and WCF. 1st round would be NEUTRAL court advantage, and I never see a true H.C advantage in the 2-3-2 Finals format. The only true adv. there, is a Gm. 7 at home. Now with all of this said, this would obvoiusly be a TOUGH task(albeit not totally impossible).

Clippers and OKC will be the top 2 in the West.

If the Lakers get HCA it will be due to Memphis coming back down to earth.

The Clippers been playing this way all year long outside of 3 game losing streak.

Lakers fans need to accept that the Clippers are a great team.

Come back down to earth? LOL good one

Lakers probably get the 5 seed but wouldn't shock me if they get the 6th seed.

Don't lump everyone in. The Clippers have done a great job. I just don't think that it's such a crime to guess that the 3 proven teams might finish ahead of them....and by back down to earth, I mean them not keeping these great streaks up the whole season.

I can see SAS & OKC but not Memphis.

Memphis is slowely coming back down to earth. As I said before if Lakers get HCA, it will be due to Memphis not playing good basketball.

If they scrap in 7th or 8th which it truly looks like then they will be mopped up by the Thunder or the Clippers. Looking forward to it.
So LC can I hold you to that?  Lakers will finish as a 7th or 8th seed?

I just want it on the record...

Clippers and OKC will be the top 2 in the West.
Same for you BK can I hold you to this too?

If this is what you are saying right now and predictiing what will be, I just want to know if you guys really want to stick to your statements here or want to concede now that this is just a bunch of rhetoric.....

Make a stand here and let us know....

Possibly so, doesn't matter to me though so long as ONE of them falls back.

Yes you can. I don't know what order it will be but those 2 will have the top 2 seeds in the west.

I think the Spurs can get a top 2 seed but I think Pop will rest up his guys at different times this season which will cost them a top 2 seed.

You guys keep forgetting about Denver.

They have played a BRUTAL road loaded schedule so far and are still ahead of the Lakers.

I say Lakers are looking at 6. That means proable 1st round matchup with the Clippers, and in reality, that might be there best option.

No travel and probably more Laker fans then Clipper fans at the games.

I rather lose to those 2 teams instead of being one game under .500 through 29 games.

If that's the tradeoff, give me those 2 losses anyday of the week.

The Pistons would have beaten the 95-96 Bulls tonight with that kind of shooting.  Allen Iverson took the body of Wil Bynum tonight.

The Heat will never be a 65+ win team. They have too many ups and downs. When they are at there best, they are practically unbeatable. But then Miami has stretches where they struggle. Look at last year's playoffs. They were down 2-1 to Indianna and came out incredibly flat the first quarter of the fourth game before Lebron and Wade got angry. And then the Celtics took three in a row on them before the Heat finally decided it was time to win a championship.

I'm guessing there will be two or three West teams with a better record than Miami come the end of the regular season, even though the West is brutal and deep. Not that it matters come playoff time, unless the Heat lack focus for an entire series.

Not sure about that. Miami shoooters were off tonight as they shot 9-29. If those guys make a few more of those wide open 3's, the Heat win.

James and Bosh were the only 2 Heat players to show up tonight.

James needed to be on Bynum in that 4th quarter.

Well it's not like the Heat played bad as a team.. 50%+ FG%... 9-29 from 3-point land isn't terrible.  I agree that LeBron should have been on Bynum though.

"now the Pistons...really?"

Piston 58% for the game. 63% from downtown.  When's the last time they did that?  Charlie V couldn't miss. Bynum couldn't miss.  Like I keep telling you, the Heat and Lakers better be ready to take opponents best shots nightly.  So we move on. YAWN.

Pistons couldn't miss and the Heat actually put forth effort for 1/2 the game and still remained in striking distance.

Just shows how good we really are. Most teams would have lost by 20-25 with numbers like that being thrown at them.

Especially funny coming from a fan of a team who is in December desperation mode and got out closed by a 4-5 win Cavs team.

Hondo....going back a couple of pages but I was talking about the AS game. Pay attention to the topic. The 80s Lakers defense was highly underrated. They weren't just about a fast break offense.
