This football season is going to be so different for me as a fan.  So many of my favorites will be wearing different colors this year.

SAN DIEGO (AP) LaDainian Tomlinson's brilliant NFL career will officially end when he ceremoniously rejoins the San Diego Chargers for a day.

The Chargers said Sunday that Tomlinson, who was the NFL MVP in 2006 with San Diego and is the fifth-leading rusher in league history, will re-sign with the team on Monday and then announce his retirement.


Gotta remember not to pick this guy up.

I think he's picking the right time to retire, he was still somewhat productive last year, and he isn't trying to hang on too long.

I agree RR. More players should follow that roll.

  Big Jim couldn't keep it together sunday . He and McDowell were having a great game and it all changed for the worst.

RR..........I find the Hockey Season is way too long......I wish they would cut it back to 72 games fro the regular season.....BUT the owners would never allow that to happen. 



Getting ready for the NFL..........I'm thinking about going to Seattle to see the Titans play a Pre-Season game in Aug.

There are a lot of sports seasons that are just too long Larry.  I give you MLB, April thru October? 162 games, Really??  If NHL, NBA, and MLB just played once or even twice a week, it probably wouldn't seem that long.  That is why the NFL season, which by months is nearly as long as these others, doesn't seem as long.

That is what I love about the NFL RR.........short season with 16 games.....a "L" can cost you the playoff's.
