Crotch, good to see ya holding down the franchise, as you do.

I am very excited about the next year/two years.  Bass seems like a nice change of pace, and he was just bangin away tonite.

I have to say, I would love to get LOVE.

looking like a fun season leading to an even more intreaguing offseason

on the note of this current season i really hope doc keepy stemsima in the starting lineup JO is nowhere near the player he once was but having JO and Bass come off the bench is actually a pretty good tandem (as far as bench rotations go)

i really need to see Bradley start earning his keep around here, there have been so many trades shot down because danny wouldnt trade Bradley. and aside from shutting down Jordan Crawford (a backup 2 guard on the Wizards) i havent seen him do anything remotely impressive (when it matters)

Avery Bradley has a role on this team as a ball pressurer.  He can hound the ballhandler for the length of the court.  Until his offense catches up with his D, he'll get short minutes in favor of Keyon Dooling.  Dooling has been shooting the ball very well and to be honest, he hasn't shown himself to be a downgrade from Delonte West.  Plus, he doesn't appear to be the headcase.

Our weakest link on the bench so far has been Chris Wilcox but I suspect once he realizes he is playing on an unselfish contender he'll stop making so many careless mistakes.  Greg Stiemsma has definitely been a pleasant surprise and he will provide valuable minutes for Doc.  Brandon Bass is a stud, an upgrade over Big Baby and a 6th man/Most Improved candidate early.  If Marquis Daniels and Mickael Pietrus can push each other in practice in order to fight it out for backup minutes it only makes our bench the deepest and hungriest since 2007-08 AFTER they picked up PJ Brown and Sam Cassell.

With Rondo playing out of his mind and the rest of the starters producing, this team has its best shot at a title since Game 7 of the 2010 Finals.

I like our chances.  The Big Four have a sense of urgency knowing its a contract year.  Let's get it!  Word.

Bradley looks like he should be an all star in the D league

he got burned by John Wall, whats gunna happen when i gets put in a switch on Dwayne Wade or Kobe...
he was said to be the Tony Allen replacement. the problem with that is hes 2 inches shorter not nearly as good at deffending and unlike TA bradley has not much in the athletic department which doesnt help his suspect jumpshot

having a guy on the floor for only doing 1 thing is a terrible plan especially sense (ainge) drafted him right when point guard was our deepest position (rondo, west)
thus bradley was never going to play anyways

and on top of that ainge never wanted to include him in trades like (JO, Bradley for West)

SERIOUSLY! we lost out on the sweepstakes because we didnt offer bradley and this isnt the first time ainge has refused to trade him

and yet we never see him... the only reason he's getting minutes is because otherwise dooling would be backing up both rondo and allen

the Celtics need to get better at taking care of the basketball they are one of the worst teams in the league in turning the ball over, Keyon Dooling averages 1 turnover for every 9 minutes while rondo averages a 1 turnover every 12 minutes

tighten that up and our offense is going to be waaay more productive

Tonight we go above .500.  We will be 5-3 going into the Dallas game at which time we will gain a little more respect.  Looking forward to 1/13/12 when we play Chicago in Boston.  After that game everybody will know how for real this Boston Celtics squad is.  Have faith, NH - this team has what it takes.  Watch.  Word.

I think if Greg Stiemsma is for real, that takes care of a glaring weakness for us.  Dooling appears to be doing well enough backing up Rondo.  It'll be interesting to see how the Daniels/Pietrus/Pavlovic battle shapes up.  Looks like at some point some combination of Jawan Johnson/Etuan Moore/Avery Bradley will be sent to the Red Claws.  I don't see any of our vets getting sent packing.  So, this is what our playoff roster will more than likely look like:

C) Jermaine O'Neal; Greg Stiemsma
PF) Kevin Garnett; Brandon Bass; Chris Wilcox
SF) Paul Pierce; Marquis Daniels/Michael Pietrus
SG) Ray Allen; Sasha Pavlovic
PG) Rajon Rondo; Keyon Dooling

Wilcox can play 4/5 and Daniels/Pietrus/Pavlovic are all capable of playing 2/3.  I think Doc is going to experiment with Pierce at point guard quite a bit to give us added depth behind Rondo.  I think Stiemsma is earning himself a spot in the regular rotation.  \

Stiemsma didnt impress me tonight  neither did dooling the Celtics had 10 turnovers in the first half but only finished with 13. played a good 2nd half but man was that Nets game UGLY  Brandon Bass was the only bright spot

Stiemsma got short minutes in favor of Wilcox, NH.  Dooling didn't really have to do much either.  What about Avery Bradley though?  Have your thoughts about him changed any?  ;^)>  Word.

You bet, SL!  I am really starting to like our bench.  They are rising to the challenge night in and night out.  Brandon Bass does the heavy lifting, banging the boards and delivering on the open spot-up jumpshot.  Stiemsma plays great post defense and puts himself in scoring position.  Avery Bradley is a maniac, hounding opposing guards to the point that they have to focus on keeping their dribble more than getting into their sets.  Dooling is shooting the seams off the ball.  Plus, we've got cagey veterans, Chris Wilcox, Marquis Daniels, Sasha Pavlovic and Mickael Pietrus competing for tick and waiting-in-the-wings rookies, Johnson and Moore.  What's not to like?  Our starting five is intact and it looks like we can survive the occasional missed game from a member of the Big Four.  Let's go!  Next game is Friday!  Word.
