I merely offered him up so that Fred could make an offer that he thought would be fair.  Obviously, I'm dealing with a sneaky and underhanded person.  What kind of nerve is that?

And where exactly in your trade offer was I supposed to read into that?  You just traded for Andrus so I'm betting that you will drop Escobar just like I did...why in the hallibut would I give you anything of real value for him?

Holland pitches for the Rangersand is not an amateur punk like Fred would lead you to believe.

Yu Darvish pitches for the rangers too and is twice the quality pitcher that Holland is...now ask Austin how that has been working out for him...lol

Elvis has outscored Holland by more than 100 points YTD and is currently the #3 SS in the entire league...Holland is not in the Top 30 SPs when looking at any of the available breakdowns and is simply a mediocre option that should only be starting when he has a 2 start week with two favorable matchups...not an every day starter like Andrus
Because Holland was hurt dippy.   While you're at it, why don't you control all drops and adds, along with trades.

Control freak.

As for Cliff Lee, he just scored 28.5 points in his first start this week and still has another to go...not to mention he might be getting traded to a real contender instead of the being on the Phillies who are clearly out of playoff contention.  Yeah, you're right, I should probably drop him to pick up a two start option next week like Bedard or Zito...let me get right on that
you have been waiting all year to post this.  LOL   My point is your theorys and evaluations are not always sound Fred.

You tend to look at numbers 24/7.  Not that Holland has been hurt and is coming back and could possibly regain his post season form from last year.  And that Elvis has been spluging all year and his number's could drop until the end of the season..?  But it's not your call man.  For some reason you think you are the commish of this league and practically everyone has had issues with you vetoing trade after trade.

It doesn't make the dam league any fun if YOU are controlling everything in it.   Count me out for the justice league.  This is just beyond retarded and it's gets old having a "snatch" that consistently tries to control every facet of the league.

I picked Yu up off the waiver wire.  He has had some good weeks, some bad outings.

Pretty sure he has out scored Cliff Lee all year Fred WHO you had to keep instead of Yu.   Now who's the flipping tard?

How the hell is my one single veto suddenly controlling the entire league?  The league rules grant every owner the right to veto a trade that they believe isn't balanced or for any other reason they can conjure up (trust me, no one has seen more veto votes than I have) so stop your whining and suck it up...at least I have the balls to come on the thread and explain my veto vote.

Suit yourself...I refuse to drag anyone kicking and screaming where they don't want to go...I've got two kids for that.

The only one who is kicking and screaming is you Fred.  Every time a trade comes up that YOU don't like, you veto it.  And spluge non-sense on why it's a bad trade.     Well FYI - it's past getting old.  It's redonk.

It's ok for you to offer a just totally retarded one-side trades and sometimes get someone to bite, but if 2 other teams trade with each other and they are slightly one-sided, then YOU veto it??   Sorry man - that's just plain GREG LUGAYNESS if you ask me.

IF it's not your trade, just butt out.  I can see where you would want to veto a trade because 1 team is selling like the Marlins, but this is not the case.

I'm sure there are others in the league that have expressed how silly these leagues are getting because of all the vetoing of trades and other non-sense.

Trades in fantasy leagues are for 2 people trying to better their teams.  And you just cannot stand to see Hawks' team get better because you worry you might get beat.  I have 3 SS.  I don't give a chit if he's the #3 SS currently when I have Hanley Ramirez.    I picked up Elvis because I knew I would trade something for him.  And I need a SP with some potential.

Sorry Holland is no Cliff Lee who is still an ACE - just look at his last start..  but he's young, with talent and on a good team.

If you want to have a league and act like an adult, that sounds good.  but you are totally the pot calling the kettle black and it's just plain old.

Look Austin I could really give two shit****s if the trade goes through or not, but I like every other owner has the right to veto it if I want...don't really even need to have a good reason.  I wasn't going to post why I vetoed the trade, but then I recalled how annoyed I felt when there were multiple veto votes of the trades that Frank and I tried to pull of and thought I at least owed it to both you and Marty to explain why I did it.  I didn't hide behind some nonsense or refuse to identify myself...I provided some stats that I used to base my decision and left it at that.  There was absolutely no attempt to convince anyone else to do the same thing I did like Don DaVeto has done in the past and to be honest other than a little bit of ribbing expected to not hear anything else on the matter.

Now maybe there are a few select owners that have never voted on a trade...probably haven't managed their lineups either, but if you are going to piss and moan like a little bitch because you got a couple veto votes (trade hasn't even received enough to go the true league commissioner) then it is probably best that you sit on the sidelines and watch because once some of the others sense your frustration with this, they will likely continue just to see if they can annoy you even further....it's called breaking your balls.

If you want to believe I have some agenda against someone, by all means knock yourself out, but I'm a pretty straight shooter here and really only stay active because most of the competitors give me a good challenge along with some decent banter that I have had difficulty finding elsewhere...not that in the last 4 years I've really ever had a good reason to look.

As for the Justice League, if most of the other GB10 regulars feel the same way you do right now, then I won't get the required 12 participants to start a league and I will move on with my life as will everyone else.

Junkie, Fred isn't in even in the top 3 vetoers. Dave, Marty, and Estle veto a lot more than the rest of us. Take the sand out of your v@g1na and have a good day.

It's nice to see nothing has really changed except maybe the people vetoing the trade.  The last discussion I remember on this thread was about a trade where two people made a trade involoving Tim Tebow and Matt Stafford with two other players and I rejected the trade saying they weren't in the same category of QB's and I was told that Tebow was a stat monster and my rejection was childish.  Nice to see Fred is on the other side of the fence now.  Vetoing a trade is an owner's right no matter what their reason.

Ram, don't talk ouuta your ass bro. And don't say shit**** you don't know. I don't veto and if I did I would tell you. I'm surprised people have time to veto legitimate trades but no time for what obviously is a mishap. Wow, I'm impressed with the integrity and sportsmanship in this league. Come on folks, veto the Escobar trade. Contrary to what Fred says, I actually plan on starting him in Week 19. Again....wow!!

I would prefer if owners would at least present an argument for why they vetoed a trade, but I'm not going to get bent out of shape about it anymore.  Contrary to what some on here believe, I have no control over what people do so all I can do is be transparent with my actions and provide an explanation as to why I did what I did.  How each person interprets my logic is up to them, but they won't be able to make the foolish argument that I'm being a hater.

Agreed...I only accepted the offer to show Marty that presenting a one-sided deal to someone is not a very good way to start trade discussions.  I couldn't imagine a scenario where this trade would actually go through given my past experience with trying to make a deal that at least was agreed to by the other party.  If it doesn't get the required veto votes and somehow unexpectedly gets by the league commissioner Marty, I will not use him next week and will trade him back to you the same way I got him.

I was just trying to have a little fun at Marty's expense and now have wasted half the day away trying to explain myself as to when and why I veto a trade...WTF**** was I thinking???
