I also refuse to participate in the final round of the NFL pick 'ems  for the simple fact that I KNOW the doosh bag club was also Billyxxxho,
failure to disqualify the dooosh bag club is sooooo wrong!!

I think this is going to make the Presidents Club happy and since I know you don't want to give them any level of satisfaction, I think you should strongly reconsider your intentions.

Val - you are right, it doesnt make sense to award someone points for the final round when that person is ineligible to participate in the final round

Now this is logic that I can agree with, but again I'm just the messenger and since I didn't feel that the awarding of bonus points so unfairly penalized any one participant like the rule penalizing a participant for not making all of the picks in a given week (would have prevented Bib from making the playoffs), I wasn't going to waste an inordinate amount of time trying to convince Hawks to change it.

Hawks/Fred - i understand why the rules were put in place, and the participant in question did participate for a meaningful period of time - and i also abide by the adage that these were the rules in place before we started, so we agreed to them by participating. 

Maybe we should amend the rule next year to address this issue - but not this year

My thoughts exactly Scott...reviewing rules to ensure they still make sense is always a smart thing to do.


Now unless I'm badly mistaken, we only have 7 GB10 regulars who have agreed to participate in a playoff fantasy league...still waiting for responses from IU Dave, Coach Bib, and Val.  Making 80 picks shouldn't take more than a single day if everyone can be available (even if a text notifying them when they are on the clock is required), but we really need to get started Friday morning at the absolute latest because I'm heading to Deep Creek Lake this weekend to do some skiing (report from the Wisp resort said they got 16 inches of fresh powder Monday into Tuesday) and won't have any access to the internet once I leave work.
